Have just brought out 5mnth kitten home

We hv put her in downstairs loo for her safe room, she has soft bed in there, scratching post, litter tray, food and toys
How long till we can let her explore out of room?!
We hv 2 dds 8 and 4 and an older cat who is 14 yrs

i would let her settle in tonight and then give her an escorted tour for a short while tommorow then each day increase the exploration time, let her meet your older cat when you have plenty of time you might find the older one will hiss to start with as that is defining who is boss and make sure if your older one really wants to get away from the new one that there is an escape route (up the stairs or into another room), personally i dont do any of this with four here all different ages i just put the newbie into the room and let them get on with it seems to work just as well as the slow method
