Licking

Hello, my girl burmese who is 8 years old has started to lick herself and get twitches. We moved 4 months ago but this started a month ago. She seems to be fine in every other way. She is an indoor cat with her sister. She is licking herself so much that she is starting to get a bald bit on her tail and her back paw. Any idea if this is stress or something else?

This is usually multi factorial stress is usually involved, can also be allergies, fleas and in some cases hormonal conditions.
First stop would be really effective flea treatment even on an indoor cat (90% of self grooming indoor cats have fleas), then Feliway plug in, then some lovely environmental enrichment such as hunting food to make sure she is not bored. If all this fails a trip to the vets.
