We are being assessed for a kitten (I have owned cats all my life)The woman specifically wants to meet the children. DS has autism and will not respond if she questions him. What do you think she will be looking for? we have one cat already and 3 guinea pigs, plus garden, cat flap etc. I'm at home most days

How old is your DS, and is he gentle with animals?
Is your current cat OK with others, sharing space and not aggressive? Well cared for, registered with a vet, neutered and microchipped?
They are looking for safe homes, good understanding of the cat's needs for food, water, places to sleep, access to outside if relevant etc and that you recognise the long-term relationship you are entering into.

Everything Silver mentioned plus don't forget to offer her a Brew! I found that very important when I was volunteering for CP.
You can explain about your DS's autism and show her any pictures of video you may have of him interacting with your existing pets. Would it be possible to help him write/draw something nice over the weekend about having a new kitten?
Hope it goes well.
