My cat is just staying in her bed today

She isn't asleep, I don't know if I should be fretting or if she is just having a 'duvet day'?

We have had her about 6 weeks, she's a rescue cat about a year old and normally of the running about like a loon biting your ankles type in the morning.

She seemed fine last night.

I would have thought she was a little young for a duvet day unless it's very cold and miserable with you. Is she an outside going cat, hugo ?

I'd check whether she's using her tray/eaten/drunk etc and see how it's going in a few hours. If in doubt, I'd take her off her bed, put her on the floor and see what she does then.

Phew, I coached her out with a few dreamies and she has scratched her post and gone upstairs to play with the taps.

I can't believe how easily I am spooked just now. Blush

Thanks for humouring me.

That's good - but just keep an eye on her this morning if you can. Most/many cat problems are picked up through changed behaviour I think - because they're so good at covering up feeling pain or sickness.

Yes, I will watch her; she does go outside and it did cross my mind she could have eaten something ikky on her travels.
