For the past two weeks a cat its huge has decided to try & move in to my house , he doesn't have a collar & is not neutered & looks to be a moggy .
I have 3 cats of my own who seem to let this cat do as he pleases , such as be in charge of my garden (I have seen him kick other neighbour hood cats out of my garden) .
I keep my conservatory window open as my cats are outdoor cats but I can't let this cat in so having to keep it shut as my cats make useless bouncers Hmm

Apart from this past two weeks I have never seen this cat before .
Of course im not feeding him & his fur looks in good condition & he is very tubby .

I haven't a clue what to do about him , I can't get near him to get a photo & I know he doesn't belong to any of my neighbours

Put a paper collar on him with your phone number on and see if his owner rings you.

If someone did that to my cat I would ring. My cat is neutered but still has little furry accoutrements so people think he's a proper Tom.

Everytime I go near him he runs

we are having the same problem with my new neighbours cat, its a boy and my 3 girl cats just sit and watch him come in and eat their food [grrr] I try to scare him away (as nicely as possible) whenever I can but it doesn't seem to be helping. Trouble is the neighbour the other side is forever feeding everyones cats, we get so many in our garden. I think im going to have to move their food away when they aren't eating.
Will keep an eye on this post, good luck

furry accoutrements. Grin

tabithasmum23 · 18/09/2013 10:59

Fluffy..there's a ginger tom that has adopted my parents garden to hang around in I was assuming he was un-neutered and thus possibly stray because he also has furry accoutrements (or ginger nuts is easier to spell and say ;)) Would you say your little fella looks like an entire tom? This particular cat seems to act quite submissive way towards my parents very laid back neutered male moggy and very untrusting towards humans

headsspinningforachange · 18/09/2013 11:02

Tried to put a paper collar on and he attacked me , he has no problem with coming in my home though .
He is definitely not neutered

I think if he looks like becoming a permanent fixture, heads, and you know he's not local, you need to find out whether he's got lost. I think I'd be phoning CPL and asking to borrow a humane trapping crate so that you can at least get him checked over and look for a chip.

Could you put in a microchip cat flap for your own brood?

headsspinningforachange · 18/09/2013 11:23

My landlord won't let me put in a catflap unfortunately, will ring CPL & see what they say

tabitha he doesn't really look neutered, he did have massive balls though.

People ask if he's neutered like they expect him to be a proper Tom.

cozietoesie · 18/09/2013 16:46

I'm trying hard to imagine what it would be like to live with an unneutered male Bengal.

Shock
Fluffycloudland77 · 18/09/2013 17:24

I think the breeders keep the toms in outdoor pens, much like cattery pens.

Un neutered toms are pretty feisty whatever the breed though.

I would imagine cpl have humane traps but if he isn't neutered chances are he isn't chipped either.

Do your cats have vaccinations? Because this cat might not have jabs either.

tabithasmum23 · 18/09/2013 18:49

Thanks Fluffy so without knowing the individual cat it's impossible to tell? Is it an aesthetic thing to neuter leaving said 'accoutrements' I'm now wondering how many lost and stray cats have a duplicate op??
Wish me luck getting my own into her carrier tomorrow for a trip to the v.e.t.s. she's not been eating much and seems out of sorts for a week now...and what do I see her do tonight? catch and devour a sparrow...hardly what I expect of a poorly cat but hey ho!
