Cat with a possible ear infection

I think Theo has an ear infection. He's been shaking his head and scratching at it. Also when he's sleeping on sitting he seems to tilt his head to the side.

He's really not himself either. He just seems out of sorts and sleeping a lot. Right now he's curled up fast asleep next to me.

I plan on taking him to the vets first thing in the morning but is there anything I can do for him until then?

What a shame, it must really hurt. I don't think there is anything you can do really apart from take him to the vets.

One of mine has chronic middle ear infections as a result of untreated ear mites when he was in a shelter and the only thing that sorts it is antibiotics when she gets a flare up.

:( He's just woken and is having a wash. Going to the vet is so stressful for him. As soon as the cat box comes out he's gone for dust.
