The litter tray

What should I do with cats tomorrow - house party?

My mum and best mate are coming to visit tomorrow. They will be here 9am-ish. In the evening I'm having about 11 work colleagues over for my drinks and BBQ birthday party. I don't know what to do with the cats.
If I let them out in the morning they wont come back with people here, and I'm not happy with them being out all night - foxes.

Should I keep them in tomorrow during the day then shit them in my bedroom in the evening with food/water/litter/tray/beds?

They will be ok, wont they?

That's what I would do. Although I would shut them in, rather than shit them in, obviously :)

Bedroom or cattery, Stuffezd and with that many strangers to the house for a party (with booze), I'd personally go for another premises. Too much chance of doors being opened by mistake while looking for the loo etc.

Has the local farmer or another neighbour got somewhere to put them perhaps?

Oh fuxache! - yes, not shit them in!!

There is a cattery 1/4 of a mile from my house but frustratingly, my ginger cat's jab documents are in bloody storage!!! I think bedroom will be ok as my bathroom is downstairs so nobody should be going upstairs really.

I am absolutely certain they've allowed a rodent to run loose in there somewhere as I've heard it at night, so they can bloody catch the bugger!!

The farmer would probably stand on them and neighbour has 2 dogs, sadly and is invited to party!

Bedroom it is!

If it's upstairs, sounds good - I'd put some duct tape across the door though, just in case.

Have a good birthday party!

That's a good idea thanks Cozie.
My mum will say I'm being absurd but they're my babies and I made the mistake of having a couple of pissed people round them once before and the ginger boy was really distressed and pooed and vomited on the floor, which he's never done before. Never again.

We're moving house soon and will be locking our girls into one of the rooms. We'll be putting their toys, litter tray and food/water in there. We will be taking the handle off the door - literally just unscrewing a couple of screws. No-one will be able to get in and harass them.

Good plan lurked.
The party went absolutely great BTW and the kitties were more than happy in my room and went out happily the next day.
