Cat out all night!

Cat would not come in last night. I tried about 5 times with nibbles, a towel and even trying to get him to chase a fishing net at 11.00 at night!

He is a neutered 5 month old ginger tom but the neutering happened last week so has not taken affect yet!

Now he is very cuddly and on sofa having been found by DH this morning under the car. No idea why he did not use the cat flap to come in last night.

Any cat physchologists who can explain this odd first time behaviour, please?

I would try not to worry, he'd only been out one night, have you had to keep him in after the neutering? He might have gone a little stir crazy and needed to have some time outside. Or maybe he saw another cat and wanted to make sure it didn't encroach on his territory?

He seems more cuddly than before, maybe due to less testosterone in system, maybe due to being out all night!
