Anyone got experience on Oriental cats and insurance?

I'm renewing my cat insurance today and it seems that many of the insurers don't recognise Orientals as a breed, whereas vets, breeders etc do. Anyone else had this prob? If so, who do you insure through these days? I have managed successfully to insure my poochie for 7 years until now. I'm damned if I'm going to renew with Tescos at £75+ a month!

Try phoning the breeders society (or facebook group) they often have deals with certain insurers.

Just in case anyone else has similar probs: Direct Line insure Orientals!! Thanks for the tip Random, and Cozie yes, £75 a month!! Really!! DL is £21 a month, though I'm not sure about excess and details etc, but it's a definite improvement!

As most insurance companies charge premiums for breeds I would go with it if they don't want to recognise orientals and will class as a moggy.
