Fur!

Since we've starting letting our indoor cats out, one of them keeps coming home with her fur in clumps sort of underneath. if you stroke her, some parts feel bumpy.

I've brushed her but it doesn't get them out and I've resorted to cutting the clumps out which is making her patchy. There doesn't seem to be anything in the clumps that I've cut out, although she is also getting burrs caught in her fur as well.

Should we just keep brushing her every night to try and preempt them and cut out ones that can't be brushed? Does anyone know why she would suddenly start getting them?

I have a long haired lad and yes, just brush everyday with a good quality groomer. My boy is covered in sticky willow just now.

Please don't use scissors to cut lumps out it is way too easy to cut skin off as well.
Teasing out with a teaser brush or investing in a pair of cheap clippers is a much better way.

Our cat got some of these, I found some cheap beard trimmers from argos were the best for trimming them off.

I think regular brushing is the way to go as long as she will let you brush her tum.

Have you got a furminator? I got mine off amazon and its amazing.

It gets lots of fur out without pulling the coat.
