Our lovely cat hasn't been home

We have a ginger Tom who normally sleeps at home, a lot. I haven't seen him since Friday but he has been out more while it's been hot. I'm starting to worry, especially as there is a new cat around who is forever in our garden, and was in DD's room this morning. I don't know whether he's been scared off, or whether he's hurt :(

When my boy used to go missing for a few days he was sometimes trapped in someone's garage. I would post a short note thru neighbours doors asking them to check. Also worth alerting your local vet in case someone brings him in (not necessarily hurt, more to see if he is chipped etc).

Hoping he turns up soon Smile

That's brilliant newsSmile. We would always keep our boy in for a few days after a wander too. Enjoy the rest of your day Smile

How is the other cat getting in 3monkeys ? Are you on open windows due to the heat?

Glad he's back! It is such a worry when they don't come home, or alter from their regular routine. This hot weather isn't helping, all three of ours have been out lots, even old lady cat has been going out and sunning her belly on the path!

The other one comes in the cat flap . Have locked e cat flap now and our dozy boy has been asleep al day in his bed:) Would love to know where he's been!!

Might be a good idea to get a microchip cat flap when you can afford it, 3monkeys. (They read microchips and will only let in authorized cats.) If your boy smells other cats around it might make him uneasy about the house - and you could get other cats in besides the one you found in your DD's room, with spraying etc.

Glad he's back safe and sound though.

Smile
