Worried about my cat - he doesn't put his tail up anymore !

He is normally a really happy cat but at the moment I don't feel it's the case. Normally when he enters a room, his tail is always up, not anymore. He doesn't seem in pain when I touch it. When I put his tail up, it goes straight back down. Apart from that, he eats/drink well.

Any ideas ???

Vets to get him checked the most common is something called a tail pull injury.

Have you recently changed anything? Our cat just went through a bit of a down period, we moved house, I fell pregnant and DH started working really long hours (all in the space of a month!). He stopped wanting to play and everything, I did a lot of reading about how change in routine and such can cause confusion and upset so I worked on making things more familiar for him and just spent a little more time with him playing/hugging. He's back to his happy old troublesome self now Smile.

Our cat had a dislocated tail once and it was hanging completely limp.

My little zeb had this, the vet thought he had been shunted by a car from behind. There is clearly some muscle damage to your kit, I'd get to the vets if for nothing else for some pain relief as whilst the tail may be obvious, he could be sore all round his back end.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
