How do I stop male cats coming round?!

I have a female cat that has been neutered so I didn't think male cats would bother her. Every day/night there are 2 males who sit in my garden or by my front door miaowing for her. That wouldn't be so bad if they didn't spray all over the place. The smell is awful, it's up the front door and all over my kids garden toys and no matter what I clean it with the smell still lingers Angry

Any tips on how I get rid of the unwanted attention she is getting please?!

A water pistol is usually a good idea. And there's also some stuff that has been posted before that removes all smells. I'll see if I can find the link.

Does she use a catflap?

I think \link{http://www.petsathome.com/shop/simple-solution-stain-and-odour-remover-for-cats-4-litre-%28online-only%29-112001\this} is the one but other posters will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you I shall try that Smile

I've tried the water but it seems to have no effect, they just come back 5minutes later!

We don't have a cat flap.

Two of our neuter females used to mate but didn't come into season.

Strumpets.

Occasionally when females are neutered the vet misses a bit of the ovary. This means that they still come into season even though they can't get pregnant. Does your female cat show any signs of being in season?

NotShortImFunSized · 29/06/2013 13:59

I didn't know they still did that!

No she doesn't ever show any signs of being in season at all.

I'll have to try harder at scaring them off. She's probably encouraging them Wink

Little hussy!

Or you could do what I would do, which is encourage the males, lull them into a false sense of security, and then whip them off to the vets to have their balls off. No cat that comes within grabbing distance of me manages to keep hold of his balls :)
