Question about neutered cats

I have two cats, a male and a female. Both neutered. Just curious as they play fight loads and are always bashing each other about, but don't seem to display any, er, sexual kinds of behaviours. I thought neutering meant they would still...do stuff....but there would be no kittens. Does it in fact stop them mating full stop? Lovely question I know!

Pretty well stops it - particularly if they've not been 'active' before neutering. It clobbers hormone production so that they lose interest.

Ah right. I don't know about the girl as I've only had her a short while and she'd been done already, but the boy defo hadn't even met any other cats since he was tiny. He did manage to spray all over my yard just before I got him to the vets - cheers for that! Hmm
