Lovely cat is just 1 year old, a neutered male. Originally he was on just a high quality dry food. We added some wet as partly worried about future kidney problems. I was giving him one sachet of Encore a day (mainly tuna & whitebait) plus dry food out all the time and he was quite round on it despite being very active and out in a huge garden day and night.
He went to the cattery and they fed him whiskas and his dry food and he came back much thinner despite the lack of exercise. I've kept him on whiskas one sachet in the morning and he is still thin.
Is Encore just too calorie dense? There are no guidelines on the packet or their website. He only gets Encore on Sundays now.
