Kittem scratching

Kitty wants to come and see me and sit on my lap but is digging in claws, it doesn't hurt a lot but want to train him not to do it.

Any tips, please?

It's a sign of contentment. That's what kittens and cats do. Don't think you can stop it. Mine are 6 now and do it to laps, cushions their bed etc.

Your kitten loves you! he's fluffing you up like he did to his mum to get milk..

If you can, clip his claw tips off with a clipper. Be careful not to clip any of the pink, as that's the nail quick. In the meantime get a fleecy baby blanket and when you see him making a bee line for your lap, throw it on your knees before he pounces on you.

It really ouches doesn't it? I have to put mine down after a bit. My work trousers are covered in tiny holes.
