Doesn't it solve all your problems when they lie by your side purring? :) I love listening to my cats purr.

Huntercat is a quiet purrer, very soft.

Tortiecat is a loud purrer and it's wonderfully soothing ... until she decides I've stroked her too much or scratched the wrong spot and then she attacks! It's the outrage on her face when I protest about the bloodloss that is so funny, we are working on gentler ways to tell your human you would like to be left just to sit now.

I almost cried when my Jinpuss found his purr. Mr B got his purr on within a few days but Jinny took longer - & looked incredibly startled when he first purred. There was a rusty hesitance to it at first but he soon lost that.

Is definitely soothing to hear/feel cats purring. I discovered during the winter that a purring kitty applied to the correct part of the chest helps with respiratory physio Grin

My Siamese purrs when we go to bed. He sleeps in my arm/ against my boob very comforting. My Russian seems to be broken and can't purr :( even his meow is very quiet poor boy
