Anyone else have two cats who scrap incessantly?

But at the same time love each other?!

My two (10 month old boy and 13 month old girl, both neutered) drive me up the wall, rolling around fighting, nipping each other, etc. their howls genuinely make me panic that they're actually hurting each other, but of course they bloody aren't!

They hide round corners when they hear the other coming, so they can leap out and scare them...

They biff each other and yowl when biffed in return, then run and lie 18 inches from their offending pal, legs akimbo, as if to say 'pleeeeeeeass don't biff me again, wink wink nudge nudge!!'

They bump noses ALL the time. I'm really hoping this means they love each other really! Grin

And the funniest thing is, Scabbers has claimed a transparent plastic tray that I left on the floor, as his "new bed" but every time Millie walks in he ducks down to hide in the trag, not realising she can clearly see him through the clear plastic!

God I get too much amusement from my babies!!

How cute. They're obviously just playing. And I've never known bumping noses to be anything other than a very good sign.

Yes ours do!! They are 4 and 5, we think. The hiding round corners is hilarious isn't it. Often one is upstairs and one down in the living room, and when we hear a soft "thud" of the upstairs cat jumping off the bed, downstairs cat gets in place behind the sofa, out of view of the lounge doorway, ready to pounce.

Or when they're being quiet and calm, one will decide they're bored, and go sit just out of reach of the other, flicking their tail slowly back and forth in front of their face to entice them to play, it ALWAYS works!

Only occasionally they do a bit of yowling and fur really flies, but I just shout at them and they stop and look contrite. Bless them!

Yep. The batting of paws is hilarious reminds me of the cat pat a cake you tube video!
