My female cat has become listless & off her food

My two cats live in rural bliss. I noticed that the older female (just 2.5 years old) has recently got quite a bit thinner after being a right little fatty over the winter. She seems to have less spark (usually murderous to the small mammal population) and not really eating very much. Is it hunting in the hot weather, has she had a fight with something (she came back head to toe in dust the other day) or might she have an underlying disease? Her eyes look bright and fine and she isn't hot/cold etc. I have tried tempting her with a range of slutty/healthy food. Should I take her to the vet or am I worrying over nothing?

Sudden weight loss always needs checking out really. Although she seems rather too young for the most common causes (but then i'm no vet), I would get her looked at.

Thank you I think I will, it's her behaviour as much as the weight loss that concerns me.

Yes - to the vet directly. Let us know how she gets on.
