Worming tablet out of foil

I took a worming tablet out of the foil today, and then lost it (threw it in the bin by mistake). I opened up another one to use on the cat, before finding the original.

It says on the box (Drontal) that once out of the foil, they can not be stored to use at a later date.

Really?

I would guess that that's to avoid eg legal comeback if there were problems if you used it after storing it badly and for too long. I'd have thought myself that it would be OK if you put it away somewhere immediately in an old pill bottle, say, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. (Assuming you lifted it cleanly from the bin and it wasn't contaminated with anything.)

But make that the next one you use.

Thanks cozie, sensible advice. It fell onto a clean egg carton in the bin near the top and then I wrapped it in foil so I guess it'll be fine for next time.
