cat/kitten insurance

Can anyone recommend very good pet insurance companies please.

I would like a uk based call centre(24hr) and your experiences of when you used your insurance. Did they deal with you/your vet promptly without any problems.
I'm looking to insure my 4yr old and a new kitten, so whats the best policy for two cats?
Lastly, since I last looked into pet insurance about two yrs ago, do any policies now include dental?

Yes thanks for the link and I have looked at similar threads. What I wanted though was really more advice on experiences of using your insurance iyswim.
I'm not looking for the cheap option but the best, if such a thing exists.
For instance a policy I have looked at states that you should not authorise treatment until you have contacted them and got approval....? how does that work when you are standing in the vets with a poorly cat?

Bumping for you. Sorry I have no knowledge of insurance as all my cats are foster ones and so treated by the charity.

We have direct line cat insurance. I've only had to claim once (which makes it pretty bad value!). We didn't have to contact them before claiming. I took my cat to the vets and found she needed a minor op for a tear duct absess, left the cat with the vets and called direct line when I got home. I paid the vets up front, forwarded the claim form to the vets then payment came through 6 weeks later.

Direct line have several levels of cover, I think we have the enhanced cover.
