swollen lip

My 3 yr old boy has got a swollen bottom lip.
It's blister-like, but solid. Looks a bit like a coldsore.
He's not off his food and doesn't seem bothered by it at all.

I am taking him to see the vet tomorrow morning, but in the meantime was wondering if anyone else has had this?

Googling suggests it could be 'rodent ulcer' which sounds problematic and recurrent, so hopefully not.

Has he been stung by a wasp? My cats always chasing wasps.

He does chase wasps in summer, so could be.
Although it doesn't seem painful enough to be a sting.
He doesn't even seem to know it's there - I only spotted it when he was sat on my lap with his big face about an inch from mine having his cheeks stroked back to make his face all slinky and siamese looking .

It's not red - it's skin coloured really. Looks a bit like his wee foot pad - that pinkish, spongy look. About the size of a small pea!

My cat had something that sounds like this at the same time every year for 4 years. My vet said it was some sort of hayfever thing. We used to call it his bubbagump lip.
