Can never decide whether a trip to the Vets is required......

But have booked her in for 5pm just in case. Hmm

Sparkling Cat has some sort of puncture wound. It's the sort of thing that if it was on me I would bung some Germolene and a Band Aid on. It isn't bleeding or anything. She's licking and licking it making her fur all soggy.

Is a trip to the Vets always necessary? I feel like I have to take her like a neurotic Mother at the Doctors.

Poor sparkling cat, I was looking forward to seeing the most beautiful cat in the world in a lampshade collar Grin

Hope you have a peaceful night and no yowling / discomfort Smile

Sparklingbrook · 17/04/2013 19:20

Thanks. She looks very sad, and has finally gone to sleep. She did a wee in the carrier on the way home. Sad

I bought some of those teeny tiny tins of poncey cat food cozie. Blush

Quite right too - warm roast chicken from the supermarket if she's off her food tomorrow. (The painkiller and ABs might depress her appetite tonight.)

Good luck to her.

Sparklingbrook · 17/04/2013 19:29

Thanks. he wants to see her next Thursday so hoping it will look --and smell- a bit better by then.

Strikeout fail but you get the drift. Grin

Sure did. Poor girl - you shall have to pretend that you can't smell anything so that she saves face.

Sparklingbrook · 17/04/2013 19:42

Oh and the vet said she was overweight. Sad

Sparklingbrook · 17/04/2013 19:43

The vet did say she was beautiful and had a lovely personality before that.

How is she this morning?

lljkk · 18/04/2013 11:05

fat and smelly

Don't feel bad, Describes most small cute creatures (pets, babies, etc.)

Sparklingbrook · 18/04/2013 11:17

Hi all. Thanks for asking cozie. She was basically zonked out all night, but she has gone back to wandering about very unsettled today. Sad

She has had both of her tablets so that's good, and she seems to have stopped licking quite so much.

I am mostly in for the rest of the day so I can keep an eye on her.

Fat and smelly though lljkk how very dare he? Grin

The meds might well unsettle her a tad. Some cats can feel real uneasy if they're not right on top of things and completely alert.

Sounds as if she's on the mend though.

Smile

Yes, she is curled up nose in bum style fast asleep on the sofa now cozie. Smile

I saw my neighbour earlier, her cat has had an altercation with the neighbourhood ASBO cat and has a sore ear. Sad
