Cat hair taking over!

Any tips on how best to keep on top of the cat hair that seems to be taking over my life? 2 cats, one of which sheds like mad, probably due to her preference for staying indoors in the central heating all day. I bought a Miele Cat and Dog in desperation but I still can't get it off fleecey blankets. What I really need is a giant, super sticky lint remover- do they exist?!

a pair of rubber gloves you lay the material flat and brush down with the rubber glove on your hand, it catches the hairs and you can then remove them

Have you tried tumble drying them?

Furminators fetch a lot of fur out of the coat, I'm gearing up to furminate ours as soon as I'm not ill.

fluffy- Don't have a tumbledrier unfortunately but have just given her a good going over with a Zoom Groom I totally forgot I had. Furminator next stop, looks more up to job !

The only answer I've ever found to it is tumble drying. That and just no longer caring and accepting and my clothes, the house and everything in it will permanently be covered in cat hair.

Furminator is great, I got one after recommendations on here and you get a huge pile of hair off in one go, definetly seems to lessen hair around the house. I usually run a lint roller over my cat when I'm done brushing too.

You need this this. I also second Furminator. A double-pronged attack is needed, at both ends of the fur supply chain.

In moments of desperation I have also gone over the offending surface with long strips of parcel tape. Ooh - have just had brainwave - you could do a very large area in one dab with a roll of sticky-back plastic....might get expensive though...

Ha- funnily enough I did discover that the parcel tape worked pretty well if you kind of used it in a waxing type motion with long strips. And in doing so also thought of the sticky back plastic plan! Mad but would probably work a treat. Thanks for all the ideas

We get through endless rolls of tape, but most days I go out dressed in my very own bespoke range of clothing called "ginger on black" gotta love the little hairy beasts :) x
