my cat has a lump

Just noticed quite a large lump on my cat's shoulder. It's soft to the touch and doesn't seem to be particularly painful. Will need to see the vet on Monday but any ideas what it might be? She's only 3.

Could be an abscess- if the cat has had a bite or scratch in a fight. Or a fatty lump.

Could be a cyst. If so they are generally not a problem and can just be left. But they're generally not that big.

Vet will advise. Odds are it's something relatively minor.
