Our cat (who has decided to leave home, but that's another story) has left us the parting gift of an infestation. We lapsed on one month's treatment (Frontline) by a week or so and that's all it took for him to get covered in the little buggers and bring them in. We've since treated him so if he does ever decide to leave our neighbour's comfy sofa he should be protected.
The trouble is that DD (2) and I are covered in bites and we can't seem to get rid of the fleas. I've used Bob Martin powder (yes, I now know that it's crap) and a 15 quid spray recommended by the pet shop on the sofa and surrounding carpets but we're still being bitten. The cat has never slept on our beds and hasn't been in for a good couple of weeks so they're obviously everywhere.
Please help me get rid of them! What have you tried that works? Bombs? Traps? We don't have a lot of money so we really need something that actually works!
