My cat is doing my head in! How do I stop her

A) walking all over the kitchen surfaces

B) get her to sleep in her own bed??

I bought her a lovely bed, blanket, cat activity/ scratching post. in the kitchen but whenever I walk in shes asleep in the washing bin or on the clean clothes waiting to be ironed or the kitchen tea towel, all these on the worktops!

I hate it.

She sleeps on the washing leaving hairs all over it.

How do I stop her?

Especially to get her in her own bed, I cant spray her with water when shes on my newly ironed clothes!

Can't help you with the kitchen surfaces, but, um, surely the solution to her sleeping on clean clothes is to stop leaving an inviting pile of clean clothes out in the kitchen? If you must leave them out, put the wash basket upside down over the top?

Buy a cheap wash basket, a load of old clothes from a charity shop and wash them. Put them into the basket.

Voila, a cat bed.

Lots of cats don't like the beds we buy them, mine had a £5 small dog bed from tesco he slept in and loved until dh threw it away.

Cats can not bring themselves to sleep in purchased beds they prefer inherited or stolen beds - looking across at the large dog bed with a small cat on it and dog asleep on floor. Water spray is very effective at detering cats from work surfaces.

I got my cat to sleep in a radiator hammock after she suddenly refused to use her bed......she likes anywhere warm, worth a try? I did try putting her in it, could tell she liked it but wasn't going to be told what to do, so I just ignored it for a while and she eventually started using it.

Got her to use her new hammock by putting a piece of the old ripped up one on top of the new one...after a phase of pushing the old but of fabric I to the floor & sleeping on that (!) she now sleeps in the new bed without a problem! Maybe if you line her bed with a piece of clothing with her scent/newly ironed scent she might use it? Maybe she likes the clean smell?
