This has been going on a while now and I'm not sure what to try now... ideas please !

Basically nearly every day I open my front door to freshly pooped cats poo in the flowerbed next to our front door. This is a dug in flowerbed. Not a box or anything removable.

I planted flowers in it.

Cat thought I had given him scenery for pooing.

I put rocks in it.

Cat poos by the rocks.

I put gravel in it.

Cat thinks I have been generous and provided cat litter.

Now obviously I'm joking a little but cat people any ideas??

I'm fed up of it every day. Every. Day.

We have no pets ourselves. The neighbours do not have cats. But I used to have cats so I know it's cat poo.

What the fuck is so special about our flower bed ?

Help ! Thanks.

Orange peel?!?! Was always told that they hate it.
Laser movement trained water pistol, a few blasts when they're mid business should discourage it. Grin
I think you can also get proper stuff from the shops that also discourages it.

Thank you ! I will definitely try the orange peel, hadn't heard of that before!

I'm a bit worried about doing anything chemically as I know nothing about this cat and I'm scared if it's elderly or whatever I may cause it to poop it's last poo :( ... hmm definitely going to see what's safely available though.

Lasers etc all sounds a bit high tech for me! Eek !

Was joking, I don't actually think you can get laser triggered movement water pistols Grin maybe a dragons den winner though

Orange peel is defo, or if you spot it, genuinly a water pistol will deter it, my cat gets soaked once or twice when admiring the neighbours aviairies (I do tell them to do it though) she looks most annoyed that her innocent bird watching was disturbed, but then does give them a wide birth for a few weeks.

Go to the cats house, knock on the door, drop your knickers and squat.as the owner opens the door squeeze out a crap. When they accost you about said turd, tell them that every time that cunt of a cat drops one on your door step you will return the bastard favour. Then bark at them jack Russell style.

cozietoesie · 31/01/2013 21:55

Maybe you should try another board chickensarmpit. We don't use that sort of language on this one.

Are we allowed to name products here? There are sprays, gels and little bead things out there which repel cats w/out harm to them or plants ...

chubbleigh · 31/01/2013 22:50

Poo from another animal. Pig shite works very well, you could try horse. Good for the plants too. It works a treat. If its well enough rotted it won't smell, spread it rather than dig it in. Cat will HATE it.

things that are supposed to work are sharp short sticks pointing upwards between the flowers as cats squat to poo the sticks irritate them, holly leaves sprinkled between the flowers same principle, lemon juice squirted on the soil as cats dont like lemon, there is a repelant called lion poo you can get online that is supposed to be excellent at detering them, thin cotton streched across between the flowers, as cats like a nice flat bit of dirt all these break up the landscape and the cat should learn to stay away without chemicals or harm
