Found a lump...

Just below our girl's ear. It is wobbly, not solid or stuck. Will taking her to the vet ASAP but any thoughts? I think it might be a gland. She's 4.

At that age it's highly unlikely to be anything serious: probably just a cyst or a blocked gland.

When cats fight they smack each other round the head more than anything else and their claws are capable of "injecting" bacteria deep beneath the skin, where it then festers into a lump or boil.

The wobbly nature of it makes it sound like an infection to me. Also if it's just suddenly appeared, it's most unlikely to be a growth.

Thanks! She fights quite a lot with her brother (he fights with her, really). That might explain it.
