Why has my cat started to dribble?

He was at the vets a few weeks ago for a check up.
All ok.

He's been dribbling for a few days.

Anything to worry about?

Maybe a problem with the gums. Best to get it checked out.

I agree - teeth or gums are the most likely issue.

Yep - dental problems are the likeliest. And a bad tooth can flare up overnight even if you had him to the vet a few weeks ago. Get him back there - and best of luck.

My boy started this it was an ulcer on his lip. Easily cleared up by some antibiotics after a trip to the vet.

Is it always a sign there is something wrong?

I ask because my cat (18 months) has always been a dribbler. Only happens when he is very happy (ie being stroked/cuddled).

I just thought it was one of those things....

My 18 month old extremely healthy boy dribbles all the time. It's normal for some cats.

That's as may be. A trip to the vet would clarify.
