I sometimes feel harrassed by my cat! He is a bully!

He's a 7 year old male Siamese. I can't sit down ONCE without him appearing and cramming himself onto my lap. It's all very nice if I am watching tv or reading but I can't have him bugging me when I'm working or eating.

It's literally every time I sit down anywhere...he gets on. If he sees there's no room because of my laptop or book, he just sits on my chest or shoulder. If I push him off, he gets back on...over and bloody over again!

I sit down to eat and he thinks he can sit on me and look at/breathe on my bloody dinner! Angry

He only does this to me. He sits on DH in the evening but seems to think I'm his to take advantage of all day long!

Ive just spent 5 minutes shoving him off repeatedly as my laptop is on my knee and he's tapped me firmly with one claw and squeezed partly UNDER my laptop!

Dds room has a ridiculously big east facing window abd the room is bathed in sunshine in the mornings.... 9 times out of 10 you'll find at least 3 cats sprawled in there during the morning.

One of the kittens has taken it into her head that the open fire will magically light itself if she sits on the rug looking at it

Sparklingbrook · 11/10/2012 14:54

Sparkling Cat has just got up for the first time today and ventured downstairs. It is raining and she's not happy. Grin

AvengingGerbil · 11/10/2012 15:06

I have two tabbies who think they are Siamese. They both behave exactly like this (she says, typing around a cat). I am very hot (temperature, not sultriness). It makes me clearly the Most Desirable Human.

gindrinker · 11/10/2012 21:48

Have you tried a baby sling? :) you. Could carry him around while doing chores?
:)

RandomMess · 11/10/2012 21:51

Yep I suffer the same fate, only I am the chosen one at all times I am in the house, DH only gets a look in when I am out.

They are DH's cats and I'm allergic to them...

DeadQODy · 11/10/2012 21:52

My cat is currently asleep (on his special blanket) on my bed, leant against my pillow. When I go to bed I will have to inch in around him. When I wake in the night he will be begrudgingly edge away a bit. When I wake up for real, he'll bite my fingers until I walk him down to his AUTOMATIC FEEDER

Sparklingbrook · 11/10/2012 22:13

I will have to get up and let Sparkling Cat out at 4.30am. I have done it every night, I think I do it in my sleep now. Nowhere for a cat flap in this house. She has one into the garage but wouldn't lower herself to sleep in there. Hmm

Titsalinabumsquash · 11/10/2012 22:23

My cat is an evil genius, she is only 8 months old and has every single human slave at her beckon call.
She will eat at home after leading us to her bowl (this entails a loving hug paw across the face) then she will run a little way ahead, looking back every so often to check you're following her to the feeding area. After aforementioned meal she will be off to the couple who live behind us, where she will do the same ... But in their house at their cat's bowl.

She has also developed herself a stomach of solid iron and managed to polish off a tray full of salt dough stars I had made.

This morning I discovered her head butting the oven door because I stashed a cake in there away from her last night.

She will lay on any part of me she can access and as soon as I drop off to sleep she'll purr extra loudly in my ear to make sure I know she is the boss that she loves me. Wink

Titsalinabumsquash · 11/10/2012 22:27

I also wish to know how come if they love sun so much why my long haired older girl will look at a room full of comfy cushions/sofas/carpet/rugs and yet squeeze her portly frame onto a POSTCARD left on the floor?!

Titsalinabumsquash · 11/10/2012 22:28

Oh I best put in a mention for cat number 3, sister of evil genius cat. She hates me but is in lurve with DP, I'm sure she gives me evils over his shoulder when being cradled by him. Hmm

BigWitchLegsInWailyTights · 11/10/2012 23:06

gindrinker Grin A baby sling! He'd approve! I think he'd sit inside my BRA if I let him.

Titsalina I know! My Siamese gets on the teeniest bit of paper too!

Well, I moved said cat, went for a wee, came back in without putting light back on, stroked cat ..... He wasn't there!! SCREAM! Oh there he was, back in the middle, leaning on my pillow.

He's stomped off in a huff now as I moved him again ... And now I can't sleep

sashh · 12/10/2012 03:48

Titsalinabumsquash

because it is paper/card. Cat rule no.42 - all paper products must be sat on, with extra points for fitting entire body in/on a small space.

cynister · 12/10/2012 04:10

My cat enjoys sleeping on my head, and feels lying with his arse in my face is a great compliment. He gets indignant when I shut the door to have a wee alone, and flings himself against the door, whilst cursing in fine feline fettle..
Btw..my little ghostie is becoming very active..she will be around through March, I expect..

greenhill · 12/10/2012 05:07

The cat has just stalked off as I changed position in bed and my hip was no longer available.

We never shut doors here, because the cat always wants to be on the other side of them. But if she is in the garden, she'll move to the kitchen door, I'll open it and she'll just stare at me as all the heat rushes out of the house. She'll also refuse to come in if the DC are in the kitchen, so I'll have to be on door duty until she deigns to come in. Often she'll then move to sit on the rear sitting room window and stare at us, she might come into the house through that one, but only after I've opened/ closed it a few times.

The cat has also taken to only coming in to poo in the litter tray and going back out immediately. The other day I had inadvertently left her inside as we were all out, she'd pooed in the litter tray and I'd not noticed, then she smooched with me, when she walked off I let her out, cleared the litter tray and discovered that she had weed on some pink paper that my DD had written a story on, so I had to try and carry it to the bin without spilling it as it was still standing proud of the paper! Litter trays must be immaculate at all times!

Dear, weird creatures. Mine sleeps under the duvet with me...every night he waits for me to go to bed and 5 mins later, he stands in the doorway....I pat the bed and he gets in.

Last night he was out (eating the neighbours cat's dinner) and I went to bed. DH let him in and he came up. As I was asleep already, I unfortunately neglected my patting the bed duty so he scratched up the carpet by the door and meowed as loud as he could to wake me up.

WHY couldn't he just get in ffs?

greenhill · 12/10/2012 10:11

Yes, my cat normally waits for the invitation to get on the bed or will scratch the carpet next to the door to attract attention. She also pops next door to eat their cat's food, even though we have never had a cat flap and she has been with us for 15 years over 3 house moves without a cat flap...

My previous cat would sleep under the duvet with me, with his head on the pillow. He'd wake me by licking my eyelashes and dribbling on my face. It was disgusting, but lovely too Confused

DeadQODy · 13/10/2012 11:28

My dh was playing with the cat today, he's so freakin cute! (Cat not dh) - he went for dh finally and was so cross that he snorted like a pig as he went to hiss and scared the life out of himself :o
