Keeping kittens is traumatic!

I've had my lovely kitten for a week now and he is BEAUTIFUL. It was a horrible wrench leaving for work last Monday but he keeps himself amused and now I know he can go up and down the stairs ok he's allowed everywhere (except kitchen and bathroom.) When I come home from work he always runs straight up to me for a cuddle! He also comes up and sleeps in on my bed at night which is very sweet.

Today, however, he is purple. He is ginger with a lovely pale chest, but he took it upon himself to take my big, purple pot pourri flowers out of their bowl and shred them to bits. So now he is purple and there's a big mess all over the floor!

Cannot be angry though, he is still the most lovely little thing ever.

Try and get it off him, it might be toxic to pets.

Try a warm damp flannel.

Thanks Fluffy, I panicked about that too. I've taken it away and swept up all the remnants. Just keeping an eye on him at the mo but he seems fine. I don't have children so maybe I'm wrong, but this is like child-proofing your house! :)

Mine ate posion berries as a kitten.

TWO nights running.

Because chucking up 5 times the first night just wasnt proof enough for him.

I've had mine for about 2 months now and he is a holy terror! Ate leftover milk from cereal (about 2 laps of it!) and spewed all over the floor, escaped numerous times already, eats every sheet of paper that comes out of the printer, wrecked the living room trying to catch a fly and peed in DH's gym bag yesterday (dirty protest over a change of cat litter) but he is so super cute I can't be angry at him :)

One of my friends moved to a new house, one of her cats dound its way up the 'blocked' chimney.

But you just can't be angry at them can you?

My last boy, when young, got hold of an (untouched) large net of Babybel cheeses, dragged it up to the bedroom and ate the lot in the middle of the floor. Unfortunately, he had to get through/destroy their outer coverings.

Anyone else tried something as hard as getting a whole Baybybel netful of red wax off a pale fawn carpet?
