CAT BOARDING ADVICE

Im wondering if any one knows of any service where someone would look after cats in their own home. We are away in the new year and our kittens will be around 9 months old. I have a neighbour who will come in and look after my older cat but do not want to leave the responsibilty of the kittens with her especially as they havent been going out for long. Ive visited boarding catteries but really dont like the look of them. Ideally I would like them to be looked after by a cat lover and would be happy for them to be housebound for this time. Anyone heard of such a thing or no somebody that would be interested?

Loads of them, deb. Just google pet sitting plus your rough area (or cat sitting plus area) and see what comes up. Alternatively, you could give your vet a quick phone tomorrow and ask if they know of any local services which they could recommend. (They'll likely say that they can't actually 'recommend' anyone but if they give you a name of a firm, that's tantamount to a recommendation.)

I would think really hard about the cats personality before deciding which option to go with. I have done both pet sitter and cattery before and been happy. However, as the tail lees wonder had only been with me six weeks when I went on holiday I thought a car sitter would be the best option. Oh how wrong I was I arrived back to a seriously freaked out kitty.

Also try googling cat feeding service if cat sitting doesn't come up with the goods. Whereabouts are you? Perhaps someone can recommend someone if you let us know your area.
