Hi, I need to worm my cats and was wondering which brand to buy. Does it matter what brand. Was thinking of Johnstons. Thanks.

Personally I think that milbemax is the best wormer in the market. Does round and tapeworms. One single tablet does a cat of up to 8Kg and it has a felina advisory bureau award for ease to give.
My opinion of Johnsons you may as well flush your money down the toilet.

i agree johnsons and bob martins dont bother milbemax is the one that the rescue i work at uses last lot i got from the vets were £3.50 each so not much more expensive than the supermarket brands that dont work

You need to ask your vet. Pet shop/ supermarket flea and worm treatments are inferior to those from a vet as they are not licensed to sell the ones you can get from the vet.

Easier to give is all relative, I think, foronethreadonly. My current senior boy knows a tablet is coming from 50 feet - and I've failed miserably every time! Spot on is my only hope.

lol at 50 feet one of my cats knows what the frontline bottle looks like and turns into pschyco cat from hell if i try to spray her

CrazyBabies · 12/09/2012 16:17

Thanks everyone. Think I will pop into my vet and get the best!!
lol at 50 feet. I open the frontline in another room and they still hear it!!
Anyway, not using frontline now, as they still got flees. Trying Advantage now from Amazon, and croseed fingers think it has worked. Finally.
Been using Gotcha flee traps which are great. Caught quite a few of the little buggers.
