Should I be worried about this?

I have no experience with cats and thought you might be able to tell me! I am feeding my friend's cat this week. He mostly stays in the house as no cat flap, and is litter trained. Today I went in and he had pooed EVERYWHERE. Just spent my lunch hour scrubbing carpet, sofa, and kitchen floor... He is eating fine and seems ok - should I be worried he is ill, or, as my colleague says, could it be he is just doing it as he's been left alone much more than normal? She is back on Friday so I don't want to worry her if this is normal-ish behaviour!

Was the poo firm? If it was not probably a trip to the vets.

Not really. Right, vet it is! Thanks!

It could be an illness, it could have eaten something it shouldn't or it could well be a dirty protest, but you're as we'll getting him checked out just to be safe.
