My big tom cat caught and killed a rat this morning It was lying dead on the concrete outside.

First time ever

It's amazing what presents they bring us, my old cat once brought a kestrel through the cat flap! I couldn't believe my eyes

how on earth did it manage to catch a kestrel?

My previous cat used to bring home squirrels. God alone knows how he caught them - have you seen how fast a tree rat moves?

One of them was alive... me and my lodger had been out on the lash that night and we were both smashed...total pandemonium ensued as two giggling shrieking women attempted to remove the squirrel from the house (eventually it escaped via a skylight.)

I had the Benny Hill theme playing in my head throughout ;)

Well done to your cat! I wish mine would kill the rat I saw running through my garden the other night. Freaked me out big time.
