Where do find kittens

So, DH and I are very keen to give a kitten (two if male - this is DH's thing) a home. Problem is, I don't know how one goes about finding them. I've googled kittens in my area, but then I'm wary of kitten farms etc.

Ideally, we'd get one from RSPCA or Cats Protection League, but as we're due to have a baby in October, they won't let us have one (understandable policy, but not helpful for us).

Any ideas about how one goes about this task? Surely it shouldn't be this hard?!

Try contacting a vet to see whether they know anyone local who fosters rescue kittens? We couldn't get any from a rescue centre either (I couldn't come home at lunchtime to feed them!) so had ours from a friend of a friend who is known to foster unwanted animals.

You are pregnant, why do you think this is a good time to get a pair of kittens Confused

It will stress them out, they may start having accidents everywhere to protest...
