My darling cat is missing :-(

I've had her for 7 years and we adore each other. She got hit by a car a couple of years ago and lost a leg so now we call her our little Tripod. We kept her in the house for a whole year but she always loved being out and it just seemed too cruel so this year we let her out again from the spring onwards.

She always comes when called or within 5 minutes of being called. I've walked all around our cul-de-sac and along the main road calling for her for an hour. DH is out in the field across the road with a torch calling but she comes to my voice and I can't go into field in dark - 7 months pregnant :( Will have to wait till morning. Now worrying that DH will fall into a ditch or something.

I want to go round waking all the neighbours to check their sheds and garages but am not that crazy a crazy cat lady Other cat is in the house but where is my darling Tripod?

Is it mild, mine can do the same, even if morally plays silly buggers and won't come in, I can always here her bell. In this weather though, she ventures a bit further, and is more deliberately ignorant.

Please dont worry, hopefully she will be back soon. :)

She'll turn up. She's probably got shut in somewhere.

Definitely a good idea to ask neighbours to check garages and sheds tomorrow. In the meantime, it's not too cold to spend a night outside.

Normally not morally.

Thanks :( She did this a few years back when she was younger but she's more frail now. Also worried that for the last few days she was unnaturally desperate to get outside, keep thinking she was wanting to go off and die somewhere :(

DH was out weeding at 8pm and she was there but no sign since and she doesn't usually roam too far afield. We need to stop calling now really as it's so late.

She's back!!! Feel like I have totally over-reacted Blush but she really doesn't do this, longest she takes to come back when called is ten mins.

She is eating her dinner quite unrepentantly Hmm DH is the hero of the hour as he went out for one last search and found her.

Thanks for your kindness Thanks
