Pissing kitten

In every sense!

3 weeks ago we got a new kitten - she was around 9/10 weeks old and had only ever lived in an outside cattery, though was litter trained. She was happy enough using a litter tray at ours, too.

During her first night, she weed on our bed (whilst we were asleep in it!) So cats are now banned from our bedroom. She was still using the tray too - it was more opportunistic - like she needed a wee and that was the first place to go.

Last week DS1 forgot to shut his bedroom door, and we found wee on his bed.

Thhis morning we have got up and she has weed in DS2's car seat.

She is still happily using the litter tray.

So how do we stop the random wees? Having to be one step ahead of her is obvious, but I'd like her to realise the litter tray is the ONLY place she is allowed to wee. I haven't told her off for any of these things as she's never been caught in the act.

maybe she is stressed and is scent marking her territory? have you tried feliway?

also try putting her on the litter tray every time she eats or drinks so she really gets the message.

can't think of any other advice, the kids are shrieking in my ears and can't think properly atm Confused

She's very little. My kittens still get confused if they're more than a few feet fron the tray as well. We put them in the utility at night.

They grow out of it, you just have to give her time, she's the equivalent of a toddler in age, show her the same patience you'd show a 2 year old.

Keep plopping her in the litter whenever you catch her opening in the wrong spot. She'll get there!
