How do I find my missing cat? :(

Baby girl cat doesn't usually go out front, but slipped out at lunchtime... and we haven't seen her since. I'm starting to get worried - she's timid and not much of a climber, but nowhere to be seen. We live on a v quiet close, so I'm not too worried about traffic. I know she could be shut in a garage. Where else to try? Poor baby cat out in the dark.

Mine comes to a whistle!
Shake food? Waft stinky fish? Call?
Come home soon baby girl cat!

Put some notes through neighbours doors? Keep shaking her food. Go and have a rake. You can post on your local cats protection or animal charity Facebook pages.

Thank you for your replies. Dd is in bits and I'm trying to be reassuring, but feeling v wobbly myself. Dd and DH have been walking around shaking the cat biscuits but no sign. So worried. Will go knocking on doors in the morning. Don't feel

things you can try ask all your neighbours who have sheds or garages to have a look in them but if shes timid she would probably hide from them,

you can empty some of the contents of your hoover in your garden apparently the familiar smell should encourage her to come back

go out late at night go quite a distance from your house work your way back to your house calling her quietly and stop every few yards to listen to see if you can hear her meowing, dont call going away from the house as this would make her go away not towards the house

when you knock on doors ask people to look in rooms especially rooms they dont use often she could have sneaked in to one my cat got locked in next door by a workman once

at night when its quiet again stand at your front door and shake a plastic container with biscuits in it calling her name

She's back! 2 doors away in the back garden. Baby girl can't climb fences. So happy! Thanks for all the advice.

I'm sat here weeping cos my old lady had been gone since Tuesday. I'm so glad you got yours back, give her a hug from me.
