How can I stop her scavenging then being sick?

Our cat is sick nearly everyday. Lately I have realised that it is often fur balls (thanks to Mumsnet on this), but often it is not.

She had pure chicken for the last 24 hours (loads of it) and she has just thrown up again, but the contents was food I'd not given her (contained pellets that look like fish food and stuff that looks like dog food). Sometimes her vomit contains bread that I think she's got from someone's bird table.

Last year I kept taking her to the vet about this as I thought it was a bug picked up from cattery, and she even had an x-ray (inconclusive). Her sickness is worse in fine weather when she's out and about ... scavenging.

Any suggestions as to what I can do?

The only thing I can think of is to keep her in in the afternoons/mornings, whichever suits you, so she doesn't have as much time to scavenge.

Some cats just like to scavenge. I've had cats bring pork chop bones home.

Thanks Fluffy. Pork chop bones!! It's not out of hunger, so I suppose it is just in her nature.
