Cat2 just brought me a gift

And it really was presented like an offering!
I thought cats only did that in urban myths.
He ran in the kitchen, stopped 3 feet away from me, meowed & dropped a dead sparrow looking up at me adoringly. And has no interest in eating it himself, he's just showing off.

Loudly Belled & fed posh expensive cat food & he still goes killing things. Poor sparrow. :(

Be glad, thats sweet. Our cat brings home partially killed prey so she can release it in the house and have a blood orgy party before she plucks and eats it on the carpet. Normally she leaves a kidney or spleen somewhere for our bare feet to tread on....

I hope you said thank you, he didnt have to bring it home.

MissFoodie · 23/07/2012 10:23

yes, 3 mice this week so far, at least he doesn't bring them up to bed to show me......!

love the way they meow on arrival so you can make a big fuss, "why thankyou for this lovely pressie darling"

LikeItOrNot · 23/07/2012 10:37

It's because he loves you. I hope you were suitably grateful Grin

MissFoodie · 23/07/2012 10:46

yes, I can't complain really, he plays with them until they die and then leaves them, at least he doesn't rip them apart or bring in squirrels/pigeons like my friend's 2 cats......!

Yes mine too Niggle. He caught a pigeon once and ate it in our bed. It was like a scene from a horror film.
