Salt kills the larvae at some early stage.
Otherwise lots & lots of vacuuming, or usual pesticides.

Try a flea trap. We did an they really do work - grim though. You also need other methods - hoovering, spraying etc.

Holdon wild try to link.

Have you tried your local council pest control? They did my whole house for £30 with the promise to come back as many times for free as it took to solve the problem. Best £30 ever spent.

MissFoodie · 07/07/2012 11:17

you need spray, do it at night and close doors, repeat 3 times, good luck

Becky2011 · 07/07/2012 11:27

Thanks all, will investigate those options

Debulk by hoovering, but be sure to bag and bin as it sucks them up but doesnt kill them. All that can be put through the wash should be washed (no flea can withstand the modern washer ^^). Indorex the house (buy from your vets, over the counter). Make sure all the animals are treated with something that works (no Johnsons, no Bob Martin!) at the same time. Advantage or a POM from your vet.

£30 from the council sounds a good deal too. The spray is probably going to be £10-£15

Becky2011 · 08/07/2012 12:15

Can I get indorex from pets at home? Want to do it today & vets will be closed

Right, got the stuff, vets was open - impressed.

The lounge has been thoroughly hoovered & awaits spraying after dd has gone to bed. Way to spend a Sunday evening!

Crap, sprayed twice & we still have fleas. Spent this afternoon following dd around the floor with a piece of blue tack to snare them when they jump on her. They love her :( why do we still have them?

Just got a flea trap online
