our new neighbours (as of november) keep making comments regarding one of our cats ie bloody thing got in last night, damn cat given us flea bites and spraying in our hallway, eating our cats food.....problem is it is them that keep enticing OUR cat into their house, feeding him ham, chicken, fish and the most bloody expensive cat food there is if you stop doing this then maybe OUR bloody cat would come home to eat and to be deflead, i am not stupid or blind i can see you carrying him around like a baby, i can see you offering him chicken and ham, you have told me he loves the expensive cat food i watched you last night carry him into your house and i also saw you pop him back over the fence before you left for work this morning how many fecking times have i got to ask you to leave OUR cat alone....and breath...rant over

This sounds like the strangest behaviour. If their complaints are true, then why on earth are they encouraging him? Sounds to me like they are encouraging him, know it's cheeky, feel guilty and want you to think that they're not.

If they're too rude not to honour your requests, you could try saying that the cat has developed some chronic condition that requires a very strict diet and they must on no account feed it anything?
