cat no longer scared of foil!

The kitten used to pee under my tv stand, on all the wires etc. It drove me MENTAL as its very hard to clean, I even tried bio washing powder but it didn't work.

Solved the problem by laying tin foil down under the tv stand. this worked for about 3 weeks. But this morning the cat decided he wasn't afraid of it any more and started pulling it out to play with! Which made me mad. I don't want to be yelling at the cat all the time. And I am most definitely not getting rid of him.

So does anyone have another solution to keep him out from under the tv stand?

How old is he? if he's still little he wont always fit under the tv easily so the problem essentially cures itself.

In the meant time block it off (books etc) so he cant get under there.

Try sprinkling tea trea on tissue paper under the stand, they hate the smell of it, also eucalyptus. You can get them really cheap in savers and homebargains. I hate the smell too but he wont want his paws on something smelly like that.

Also they don't like the smell of orange peel.

ooh thanks. excellent suggestions. i figure if i can keep him out of there long enough he will forget. plus i dont want foil all over my house!

books is a good idea! i was trying to think of things to block it off. will try old crappy books with tea tree or eucalyptus or orange peel.

thanks!
