Ok my cat is crazy :) I posted here a few weeks ago and you were all great when I found said stray cat having been hit by a car cowering in my garden, well suffice to say he has recovered his leg is only in a splint now he has eaten me out of house and home cowed the dog and basically taken over :) today postman, a friend, came in for a chat dog barked but stood down when she was told to, cat saw postman sitting next to ds and went crazy hissing clawing etc I dragged him away and put him in another room but wtf? Is this normal at all? I've heard of guard dogs but guard cats....... He does this quite a lot. Otherwise he is super friendly follows me about all day snuggles with ds, dd and dog loves fuss and affection. He doesn't like to go outside though I have had a Cat flap fitted but the vet says he is probably unsure while
His leg is not 100%. what should I do please? I can't have him 'threaten' everyone? Thanks in advance

I have to say that is really very sweet indeed! He luffs you! Have you tried Feliway to calm him down while he is stressed about his leg? It is amazing at chilling them out. I hope he feels better soon.

Sounds like he is very unsure of himself and attacks anyone new in case they are a threat.

Our cat takes an instant dislike to some people though.

Good on the cat for protecting his family.

Provide guests with tasty treats to make them more acceptable maybe.
