she is licking my towelling dressing gown while I'm wearing it! It can't be because I have spilt something as she's been licking it in all different places.

Apart from the fact that it's a pain as I now have to wash it, why would she be doing it?

Cats are strange.

She's washing you, it's a bonding thing. Something to do with the texture of the fabric and smelling of you and you wearing it IYSWIM.

One of my cats often seems to think my dressing gown is my fur and she's either cleaning me or putting her scent on me in a dominant sort of way. Cats aren't that bright really, are they :o?

oh dear, so it sounds like I should be touched that she's doing it instead of getting cross and pushing her off huh? Sorry cat - i still think it's gross so GERRROFFF!!!!

Just left my mum's house where her dog was licking the sofa. Cats are strange but dogs are blinking barking mad!

Dressing gowns (towelling) are my kitten's favourite thing. She has one of dd's old ones to sleep on...and when it's cold I wear one in bed sometimes...and she kneads my arm all night and snuggling.
