When do I need to treat my cat for fleas next?

I've forgotten how often you are meant to do it. He was having treatment monthly and I think he had his last lot in April when he would have been 6 months old. I seem to recall that he wouldn't need it again for a bit now but can't remember if it is 3 or 6 months.

And while we're at it what about worming tablets?

BSAVA advice is to worm all cats at least every three months. Treatment interval for fleas depends on what product you are using frontline, advocate, advantage and stronghold are all every 4 weeks. I would advise this year round as fleas are actually a much greater problem in November and December as we switch our heating on and they breed faster. I am now using Seresato collar pop it on and don't think about fleas for 8 months.
