Help! Neighbourhood cats keep coming at night and eating my girls food! Three times I have been down to see which one (cat flap is very loud and my two are on the bed) has visited.

On the second time I removed the bowls and the third time the cat left quickly, although now I`m wondering if they will venture further into the house in search of food! ?

I'm very aware of foxes you see so always wake when I hear a noise!

So, bowls down or not?

Thanks!

if your cats are in block the cat flap with something heavy so the marauders cant get in and yes remove the food at night your cats wont starve overnight lol does the cat flap lock if not you could put a small bolt on the inside so it dosent open when bolted, if the other cats cant get in and theres no incentive ie food they will give up and go away

Couple of suggestions from someone who's been there;

Lock the catflap overnight. Disadvantage is that each time that you leave the house the interlopers can still get in;

or try a sureflap, which will only let your cat in and works by recognising the microchip (assuming that you've got them chipped!) Worked a dream for us.
No more strays, ever. :)
