We have caved and I'm having kittens! (literally) advice about dog needed

What do we do about the dog? I have a chance to take dog with us when we visit kittens as they belong to a friend, would this make matters worse or better for the kitty mama and kittens? The friend doesn't have dogs and I would like the kittens to meet up with my dog before they come home. The dog is fine with cats BTW as MIL has loads and she goes to hers frequently, she used to live with a fully grown cat (just not kittens) 24/7.

a lot depends on the temprement of the mother cat some are laid back about invaders near thier kittens and some turn into the protective phsyco biatch from hell if the kits are outgoing they propbably wont be too bothered about the dog, i dont have my dog now but she was a sweetheart whit the kittens coming into mine and the kittens didnt react badly to her, all you can do is bring the dog into another room from the mom cat and take it slowly maybe bringing the kits to the dog as oposed to taking the dog to the kits
